For sure, there is more to packaging than just clever lines and graphics.
While planning to 'wrap' your product - you need to consider a list of parameters. Sensitivity to light, the kind of material (glass, plastic, paper), the shape, the actual usage (spray-on, squeezed, splashed). These and many more need to be considered. Are there labelling regulations? Warnings? Child-proof caps? Different countries have differing rules which must be followed. And there's the spectre of counterfeiting too!
An important point: Most of the above parameters would have (or should have) been taken care of by production experts during the development stage of the product in question. For example, the choice of material and the kind of basic package (tube? aerosol? jar?) are recommendations that need to fit in with a manufacturer's capability.
